Restaurants
There are many, many restaurants on the island. These are some of our favorites.
The Oyster Society - best “nice” dinner place with great food and cocktails; indoor and outdoor seating
Joey’s - good casual pizza and italian food; indoor and outdoor seating
Doreen’s - great breakfast; indoor and outdoor seating
Dolphin Tiki - great outdoor-only very casual spot at a marina; great food and drinks
Island Gypsy - great outdoor-only very casual spot at a marina; great food and drinks (just off the island over the bridge)
Lee Be Fish - very casual, order at the bar, cash only seafood place; indoor and outdoor seating
Smith House - great for breakfast and lunch; indoor and outdoor seating
Thai Sushi by KJ - good thai and sushi; indoor and outdoor seating
Thai Thai Sushi Sports Bar - good thai and sushi; mostly indoor seating
Marco Island Brewery - very casual bar with good food; indoor and outdoor seating
Entertainment
There are other places that have live music on certain nights, but these are our favorites.
The Boardroom - live music every night from 6-9pm; outside in a courtyard
Stan’s - live music outside; Sunday’s are wild, other days are a little more tame; check their website for daily schedule; just off the island in Goodland
Crabby Lady - live music outside; check their website for daily schedule; just off the island in Goodland
Old Marco Pub - live bands on Friday and Saturday night; one of the few places on the island where you can dance
Beaches
Marco makes it very hard to access the beach unless you live here. There are only a couple of parking lots and very limited beach access points.
Tigertail Beach - Costs $10 to park UNLESS you are using one of our vehicles (car or golf cart) that has a beach parking pass sticker. You can ride bikes and use a bike rack for free. There are two ways to get to the beach, neither is easy:
Park in the main parking lot, follow the walkway to the lagoon, wade across the lagoon (depth depends on the tide by it’s never more than waist deep), and walk a little path through the mangroves to the beach. Takes about 5-10 minutes from car to the water.
Follow signs to “additional parking” and drive all the way to the end of the parking lot. Park there, then follow the walkway through the mangroves. When the walkway ends, walk left until you hit the beach. Takes about 15 minutes from car to the water.
